I don’t have a sofa looking like this but mine’s definitely due for a change soon, not easy with cats around!

Black Bean Bittergourd

I marinated the chicken overnight with garlic, some mixed spices. While boiling the rice, I heat up the pan with some oil and fried some minced garlic, added my diced marinated chicken into the pan and then the sliced bittergourd before adding a dash of soy sauce and pre-made black bean sauce.
I shaped my rice with a cocktail glass to make my dish look more presentable.

Sheath Dress For The Office

I love sheath dresses because they’re so versatile and I can just put on my formal jacket over my dress and voila – I’m all set for a meeting or a formal occassion. I thought I might add a little spice to my wardrobe by going for a brighter colour from the usual black and other dark colours I normally go for. My new dress is from Buttons Affair.

It’ s not the kind of dress that would hike up over the knees much after getting up from your seat because the material doesn’t shrink after a few washes.

The back of the dress is actually quite a V-line but I have a pretty broad back so for some reason it looks U-shaped.

I love this dress.

The gold zip on the shoulders present a little more definition in the shoulders. Looks classy and we can never go wrong with a tinge of gold which acts as the accessory since it’s so close to the ears and if you don’t wish to put earrings on.

Crucial Week

Crucial week. The race on Sunday that will determine Josiah’s spot in the Olympics for keirin. Nerve-wrecking. I have to do everything right.

For a start – cooking pasta for the athlete.

He’s in good form. I really hope the best for him. Please pray for us for UCI Track World Championships.

One Baby Step

Registering for the Run For The Kids event was one step closer to achieving a personal goal. Then came the training session and the charity. Amber and I managed to raise AUD$608 for the Royal Children’s Hospital charity.

$608.00 – I’m absolutely stoked!

I ran for the kids 5km for the very first time. It was easier than I expected. Maybe the Nike training sessions prepared me well. Route was easier. Adrenaline rush of about 12k people. Had fun running with bestie Amber.

When I reached, the clock said 35 minutes, but it took me a while to get to the starting line so I probably finished the run in under 35 mins? Feeling really good today, no muscle aches. Thank you Nike run leaders, fellow run mates, friends, and family who donated, thanks for the tips, motivation and inspiration. I know I’ll move on to bigger things next.

I’m joining the 10km run on 15 July 2012 – the Run Melbourne. Then, I’ll join next year’s Tough Mudder on 16 or 17 February 2013 and then some time later Amazing Race Asia 2014 perhaps with Josiah – if it exists!

Nothing is impossible, right?

For now, I’ll focus on my pole dancing competition in June.

Update: My Results

5.2km – my time was 33.23 minutes and I came in 2,746 out of 10,481 total finishers.
