ROM Dress

I’m so happy I found a really Carrie Bradshaw-like SATC ballet-inspired knee-length dress today for my Registration of Marriage (ROM). “Ballet Tutu” seems to be somewhat the theme of my wedding, even with the designer gown that I have shortlisted earlier today.

Here’s a hint of the ballet-inspired knee-length dress:

I love it alot. Simple and sweet. Suitable for a ROM attended by both Josiah and my family members as witnesses at the JPN KL. We’re not having a church wedding.

So much fun spending time with my Supermom. She missed me so much, and so did I. We just talked about everything under the sky, like usual, as before, kacau-ing each other. Found her gown for my wedding too, today. We were happy with our buys. We went bridal-shop-hopping today from Hartamas to Bangsar and eventually detox-ed by having two glasses of fresh mixed juices (each) from Marmalade from Bangsar Village. Unfortunately, I started feeling really unwell. Was it because I was running about too much? I already caught up with my ex-colleagues at LB yesterday and some friends. Some other friends I have yet to meet up with, it’s just been two days returning. It must be the jet-lag that I’m feeling this way or the sudden change in weather. I’m starting to have the sniffles again. Thought I could make it for a Clive function tonight at Aristo’s. I couldn’t. Needed to rest, and by resting, I blog. *grins*

Hehe, I know where your dress is from, so Warehouse, am I right? Lol, I’m such a Warehouse addict, they make such nice dresses, but you should also pay a visit BCBG Max Azria, it’s more high end than Warehouse but the dresses are just lovely. Good luck on everything

You are lucky to get Josiah and he isnt so lucky to have you as a wife. Girls with high cheek bones tends to bring bad luck to their husbands. You only stick to him cos he is someone in the society with social status, what if he is a nobody? No money for you to spend? No diamond ring for you to show off to the whole world? Johnny Wen: Gone lar, all the girls with high cheek bones cannot get married. Then why do ppl go for plastic surgery to lift their faces? Damn stupid of them. Haha. I stick to him because of his great personality and he is very consistent in all aspects of his life. He is who he is because of his all-roundedness which is what I really admire in him. I guess I really admire him because of his ability in cycling, why not? Diamond ring? I think I’m not the only one getting married with a diamond ring.

Hey Kim…i am a catholic myself and honestly, i was kinda shocked when u mentioned u guys wont be having a church wedding. errr…can i know the reason? without a church wedding makes the whole wedding meaningless…and im also shocked that your parents agree on this?

Joyce + Qwerty: Wedding is a personal thing, to suit a couple’s likes and dislikes and style. We wouldn’t mind a church wedding but we’re not really keen on having one. We believe as Christians (Anglican + 7th Day Adventist) we can still not have a church wedding, we don’t see it as a must. We’re more focused on one short dinner. Church wedding costs RM6k for a nice one. Rental at a nice Anglican church in KL costs RM2k and more added for additional services.

Qwerty: Also I think there’s a rule for both to be of the same denomination in order to have a church wedding. I think for Catholic it’s standard. Neither of us are willing to convert “just coz” or just for the wedding. We believe in our own denominations but ultimately, the main thing is that we believe in one God, the Father Almighty. Actually money not an issue coz I think some churches charge free, but church wedding is also alot abt the ambience to me and one ultimate church in KL is of that price I mentioned.
