Tongue In Chic – My Silverjo Bride

When Joyce @ kinkybluefairy.net e-mailed me about the launch of Tongue In Chic, I was ecstatic for her because I knew it was her dream come true, to realise an area of her passion – fashion!

Joyce and her associates @ Freeform had come up with this cool idea of dressing up dolls and displaying them at the launch of the event at The Apartment, KLCC last Wednesday.

A naked doll was sent to my office doorstep. I had picked the doll with the bun (because I’m always in bun). I didn’t realise that I had also picked the doll with the biggest head okay, and the body was so small. Anyway, I had so much fun dressing it up. Let me explain from head to toe.

My Silverjo Bride

Inspired by my fiance, because we are getting married next year. Silver is also my favourite colour.

Hairbun – dabbed with silver-inked pen. Black ribbon on hair. I lost one side of my earring and decided to use it on this bride as its hair accessories. Its forehead has a bead from a broken bracelet of mine. At the back of dolly’s hair is some netting as its veil. Eyelids are dabbed with silver-inked pen, in line with our modern cyber-makeup. Top is my very own human hairband from Supre. I tied it around dolly to give it a “halter-top” with a big bow as fashion statement. Its skirt is a can-can skirt of black and white (from the huge bouquet of flowers I used to receive from several guys over the past few years – yes, I’m still keeping the papers although the flowers were all dead!)

Note: This design doesn’t really resemble my actual wedding gown, although I long for a halter-top gown. Neither would I like to have a “bindi” on my forehead.
