Liz and I cooked together in her kitchen and managed to whip up a really simple meal.
Prawns and calamari cooked in seafood sauce and sprinkled with pepper at the end of it.
This one’s “Supermom’s Chinese Omelette”. This is the exact same taste as how my Supermom cooks it. I cooked it this way.
1. Beat 4 eggs together and add a tinge of soy sauce and pepper.
2. Mince half a clove of big onion into tiny bits.
3. Heat wok with oil.
4. Start frying onion (to bring out the taste).
5. Pour beaten eggs mixture into wok and let it sit.
6. Add salted radish bits all around the omelette (not too much, otherwise too salty!)
7. Flip half of the egg over so it’s all well-cooked.
8. Present omelette on plate.
Serves well with rice or porridge (teochew style).
Since I had some bbq sausage leftovers, I decided to cook it together with some mushrooms. This is the worst dish of mine out of the three that I did. I reversed it and cooked the sausages instead of the mushrooms. So, the mushrooms tasted a little bitter. My bad.
Liz cooked her soup with mixed vegetables and finally ground them all together. It was originally ABC soup before that (Chinese style) before she made it Western style.
The happy men who got to taste our food. And we had more desserts afterwards.
