As you might have already noticed, I started to write random stuff besides my personal stuff – like where to get great online discounts for Xmas presents, termite protection to advice on loan. I have recently subscribed to PayPerPost, an online community that allows me to blog about the things I like. At the same time, I make money out of it! Hmmm, does that make me a professional blogger already?
Here’s how it works.
1. Advertiser subscribes to PayPerPost
2. I subscribe to PayPerPost as blogger. I get to choose which advertiser / subject to write about
3. Blog based on their requirements (sometimes they require me to insert advertiser’s URL)
4. I copy and paste my blog title and URL so they can process and verify
5. Wait for them to approve and verify (sometimes they reject my post and request that I rectify the problem then re-submit)
6. Payment could take about two weeks (make sure you have your PayPal www.paypal.com account ready!)
There are so many benefits if you subscribe to PayPerPost as a blogger.
1. You get to research and expand on your knowledge because you will be required to write on a wide range of subjects.
2. You get to spread the love of PayPerPost.
3. You get paid.
4. You get creative.
5. You enhance your technical skills online.
But bear in mind, being a blogger for PayPerPost, you have to have certain ethics in mind:
1. You don’t misrepresent the product / brand you are promoting or blogging about.
2. You follow accordingly to their requirements and instructions. Eg. insert tracking image (so they can track you down! hehe)
3. Don’t simply associate other brands or mistakenly post the wrong URL to that particular blog entry.
4. You must have one personal post, one PayPerPost, one personal post, one PayPerPost, in that particular order. Meaning, no two PayPerPost can be against each other back-to-back.
5. Check out word of mouth ethics.
You also have to have a minimum of page rank 2 when you sign up for this. Meaning, if you have 10 readers per day on your blog, you have to wait and enhance your readership before you make yourself available on PayPerPost as they are quite strict on this.
You see, it’s not that difficult to earn per post. Bear in mind that a simple entry for 50 words could be approximately USD$5.00. You may blog 3 posts per day and some are quite high in pay, even up to USD10.00 or USD20.00 depending on subject and number of words.
