Yup, I’m in Melbourne.
I never knew riding behind, on a bike could be this fun. The only other time I did was during the Sony Wega tvc shoot. Myjojo has a cool Malaysian harimau-colour bike and for the second time in my life, I hung on to his waist for my life as the man of speed goes against the wind. Good thing I decided not to put my fake lashes on. They would have been lost by now.
There I was on his bike, feeling rather ecstatic, I think it beats a car, anytime especially in a cool city like Melbourne! Smooth roads, polite drivers. Why not ride a bike? Okay, a bit chilly, but that is the real fun of it!
This is more of a bicycle helmet with my huge ass sunnies to protect my eyes. It wasn’t really THAT cold, but I always put on more, just in case.
Then, we met up with Pek San and Christine and sat at the benches while waiting for Rachel and Derek.
At the Waterfront, there was this ball of flames that comes on every half an hour or something for heat purposes.
Myjojo and I had such a wonderful time outside The Crown with the pigeons staring at us.
See what I mean?
And then myjojo recommended Nobu Restaurant http://www.noburestaurants.com
The girls at dinner; Kim, Rachel and Christine.
Just one of the dishes – sashimi and salad.
Assorted sushi, dish number 10 (the final one) on the list.
I was really glad to have met up with Rachel. Can’t believe it – we grew up after all these years back in KL and now we’re meeting in a different location. What’s next?
All of us at the dinner: myjojo, Derek, Pek San, myself, Rachel and Christine.
Yum yum. Cost us a whopping AUD682 for the entire meal, probably the most expensive meal I have ever had, but this is a once in a lifetime experience not to forget – really fresh raw fish, exclusively recommended by the chef. Doesn’t happen everyday, and definitely worth a try. The ever famous Nobu restaurant. Great restaurant, great company!
